Software developer Chris Kiehl wrote an interesting piece this week where he describes software development topics he's changed his mind on after 10 years. It's not really an article, but merely three bullet lists covering things he's changed his mind on, opinions he's picked up, and stuff he still feels the same about.

The one that caught my attention was in the "Things I've changed my mind on" list where he says:

Frontend development is a nightmare world of Kafkaesque awfulness I no longer enjoy.

And note that the statements in that list are his current views, not his past views, and they differ from how he felt before.

Since we're long past the days of major browser bugs and differences, I feel like we should also be past the stage of people hating the front end this much.

It would be interesting to hear him write a full blog post on the topic, but I just thought I'd add the quote to this week's intro, to see if anyone else feels the same way.

Now on to this week's tools!
